Take the evening to settle in and prepare for the adventures ahead.

  • Prepare for a day of natural wonders in Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Your adventure begins with a ride on the Bailong Elevator, soaring to the top of the sandstone pillars. From there, embark on a hike through Yuanjiajie, the inspiration for the "Hallelujah Mountains" in the movie Avatar. Capture the beauty of South Sky Pillar and the Enchanting Platform. Next, journey to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and Ten-mile Gallery.

  • Today offers a mix of adrenaline and tranquility. First, brace yourself for the breathtaking Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, the world's longest and highest of its kind. Afterwards, find serenity with a scenic cruise on Baofeng Lake, surrounded by lush greenery and towering peaks.

  • Today, you will visit the world's largest public square, Tiananmen Square, and then walk across to the magnificent Forbidden City, a culturally historic landmark in China. Later, exploration continues with a visit to Jingshan Park and the Summer Palace.

Travel Note: Your tour guide may adjust your itinerary due to closure of the Forbidden City each Monday. On those days, you will instead visit the Temple of Heaven or Prince Gong's Mansion.

 

  • Prepare for a highlight of your China adventure: the Great Wall at Mutianyu. After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby. Head northwest of Beijing (about 1.5-2 hours’ drive, 73km) to the Great Wall. Take the cable car up to the 14th watchtower and then enjoy the memorable hiking time on the wall. In the afternoon, head back to downtown Beijing and have the chance to take photos with the exterior of the Bird's Nest and Water Cube.
