Xinjiang 9 Day Private: Kanas, Tianchi & the Ancient Silk Road

After breakfast, we journey to Tianchi Lake (Heavenly Lake), a designated National Geological Park. In ancient Chinese mythology, this was the bathing place of the Queen Mother of the West. The lake, reaching depths of 105 meters, reflects the majestic Bogda Peak and is surrounded by lush spruce forests, creating a fairytale-like landscape. The area encompasses alpine lakes, wetlands, meadows, and forested valleys. Later, we'll traverse the S21 Desert Highway, a marvel of engineering that conquers the harsh Gurbantunggut Desert using innovative techniques like reed grid sand fixation and unmanned aerial vehicle paving.
